“I am so excited to be the face of H&M this autumn. “I love the street style look, and that we can raise funds for a good cause. I hope everyone downloads my song!” says Gisele. Gisele Bundchen, the international supermodel, is also the face of H&M’s autumn campaign. Gisele, H&M and UNICEF, have paired up once again for the good. Not only has H&M created fabulous finds for this fall season, but they have created a way to help children through creative marketing. Gisele is not only a gorgeous model but is also a talented singer, she will be singing for the campaign which includes TV and online commercials, while still being fashionable in the latest H&M fall trends. Gisele’s song, All Day And All Of The Night, by The Kinks will be available for free download from hm.com or ITunes. For every single download, H&M will make a donation to UNICEF to purchase vaccines for children. The campaign will be debuting September 12th!
In addition, H&M and UNICEF are also giving children the opportunity to help other children in Bangladesh. Halloween is just around the corner, which is every child’s favorite time of the year. H&M’s All For Children collection is filled various Halloween costumes, and with the purchase of each costume, 25% of the sales will support UNICEF’s work to improve education for vulnerable children in Bangladesh.
Autumn Trends with H&M
Recently, menswear has been taking over the spotlight. Mauritz Archive, created a special collection for this coming Fall. The collection was inspired by the “M” in the H&M, which is from the archives of old Swedish outdoor store Mauritz Widforss. This collection is unique because it goes back to the roots of H&M. The collection is made to be versatile but stylish, with multi-pocket wool blazers, or a patched 5-pocekt jean. Accessories are also a huge part of the collection as it includes a rucksack, IPad case and waterproof boots. It will launch worldwide, in selected stores on September 19th!
H&M’s head Menswear Designer, Andreas Löwenstam, tells us about the key pieces for autumn.
HERRINGBONE COAT: “This sharp herringbone coat is such a useful piece. It can be dressed up, or worn with a soft cashmere sweater and jeans for a more relaxed look.”
CAMEL BLAZER: “It’s great when you can take a traditional piece and give it a twist. Wear it together with a denim shirt and a pair of casual slacks, playing with formality and informality.”
CROPPED JACKET: “The neat shape of this jacket makes it so easy to wear. It gives a smart look with a whole new attitude, and can be worn with a shirt, jumper, trousers and a patterned scarf.”
These three pieces are all versatile items to keep in the closet. They can be dressed up or dressed down; depending on the look they are going for. These pieces are lightweight enough to layer and will all be useful staples in your collection.
UTILITY JACKET: “Functionality is key in menswear, which is why the utility jacket is so strong this autumn. This one has a coated surface, multiple pockets and a detachable inner jacket, and looks just right worn with a striped sweater and cord slacks. “BIKER JACKET: “The biker jacket is one of the season’s must-haves, especially when it’s in new fabrics. This biker is in boiled wool, and has the most amazing texture. Wear it together with a classic white T-shirt and jeans, or with a textured sweater and flannel trousers.”
Both of these jackets give off a more casual look, they are huge trends this season and are perfect for the chilly fall weather.
PINSTRIPED SUIT: “Pinstripes look so fresh right now, especially when adding something new. We put red in the stripes of the dark navy bottoms to shake up the style. The suit is so bold, it’s best worn with a crisp white poplin shirt.”
Pinstripes are statement pieces; this pinstripe suit is crisp and clean. It is a classic suit, and the dark navy is defiantly an eye-catching color.
