As the COVID-19 situation got less intense, a number of people started to travel again. Beaches, popular places, famous tourist attractions, and even just cafes are getting crowded all over. But will the situation be the same as pre-COVID? This article is about the current situation of some famous tourist attractions all over the world and the difference between pre-COVID and post-COVID.
EIFFEL TOWER
Paris, France
Bienvenue!
It means “welcome” in french. A lot of people think Paris is a very romantic city and it surely is! And the Eiffel Tower is truly the most famous symbol of that romantic city but unfortunately, the current situation is not that romantic. After the installation of a new radio antenna, the tower got 330 metres taller. But unlike the expectation of going back to the pre-pandemic situation, the Eiffel Tower faced another difficult year because of the absence of tourists.

The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom in New York City which was gifted by the French to the American people in 1896. Of all the attractions in New York City, this is one every tourist must-see list. The best thing to do at the Statue of Liberty is to take a ride up to her crown and soak up the view over the city. Access to the statue is via ferry, also a highlight of the visit. After the pandemic, a lot of attractions got closed including the Statue of Liberty. But as of summer 2022, the Statue of Liberty re-opens its door to visitors. Tours currently available are as follows: the grounds of Liberty Island (Reserve Ticket), Pedestal and the Hard Hat Tour of Ellis Island (includes the Liberty Island Reserve Ticket). Unfortunately, the Statue of Liberty Crown will remain closed during this phase of the reopening. The gift shop and public restrooms are open.
Taj Mahal
Agra, India
आप की यात्रा सुखद हो !
Have a Good Journey!
The Taj Mahal is the one sight in India that all travellers need to include on their bucket list. The country is filled with incredible cities and fabulous places to visit, but the 17th-century Taj Mahal is the one place that confirms- you've been to India. The Taj Mahal is facing a big threat from pollution. The survey, commissioned by the Ministry of Environment, found that pollution levels in the city of Agra, where the Taj Mahal is located, had risen significantly over recent years as a result of growth in industry, traffic, and population. Vehicles are now banned from within 500 metres of the monument and an LED display gives a running count of air pollution. Irregular visitors in the building also caused damage to marble on the floor.
