How to maintain wellness during pandemics?
The covid has impacted our lives in so many ways and many people tend to get more stress and anxiety in their life. It’s more important now than ever to take care of our well-being in challenging times like this. So here are some healthy tips that can be helpful for you to get through this pandemic.
1. Cook at home
Although eating delivery food is fast and easy, try to cook for yourself at home.
When you cook at home, you can control the exact nourishment going in your body as well as the quality of the ingredients. So, try to include lots of vegetables, fruits, healthy protein in your daily meal when you cook, and don’t forget to keep yourself hydrated all the time. Even if you are not a good cook, you will have fun making yourself a healthy meal as time goes by.
2. Stay active
During pandemics, people spend most of their time staying at home. However, we need to move our bodies. It can be a simple thing such as taking a short walk, cleaning your house, gardening, dancing, doing yoga, and so on. It is also important to make your own daily routine to do these activities to maintain for the long term.
3. Get away from the screen
While we're on lockdown, People are spending a lot of time looking at screens because everything goes in online. However, too much screen is harmful to us physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Instead of looking down at your phone, try to read books, journal, and set the boundaries with your screen time.
4. Stay connected
You can take this time to reconnect and strengthen your relationship with your family and friends. Thanks to the technology you can connect with them through virtual calls at any time of the day. Also, If you live with your family members or your loved one, It is a great chance to focus on each other and strengthen the bond.
5. Take care of yourself
It is important to take care of yourself all the time. So try to spend a self-care day and focus only on yourself. You can start doing a new hobby such as painting, cooking, baking that you like, or take a break with no expectations of yourself. You can take this time as getting to know yourself. Find out what you love and retreat yourself! You deserve it.
