Although travel is currently restricted, we have been granted the gift of time! With this, we have created the perfect post-COVID dream destination list for all types of travellers!
Sintra, Portugal
If you love history, castles and nature, Sintra, Portugal is the perfect place for you! Constructed in 1840, Pena National Palace has been named the world's most “instagrammable castle”. Taken nearly four decades to build, the palace is definitely a sight to see. With its vibrant colours and breathtaking view, it truly encompasses luxury and royalty.
The Moorish Castle is yet another amazing tourist attraction found in Sintra, Portugal. Although it is quite different in design compared to Pena National Palace, the Moorish Castle offers travellers an insight into Portugese history. Built to protect the royals from attacks or conquests, the castle is 420 meters high! At this height tourists are able to see past the river Tejo to Arrabida (South of the castle), Cabo da Roca (West) and the North Peniche.
Santorini, Greece
If you prefer to unwind by the sea or take sailboat rides to hot springs, Santorini, Greece is the place to be! Whether you are swimming in the sparkling turquoise waters, diving from 20 foot cliffs or sailing around sea, Ammoudi Bay is undoubtedly one of the best places to spend your day. By renting a sailboat, you are able to take an amazing day trip to Santorini’s active volcano and swim in hot springs!
Taking a trip to Santorini’s capital, Fira, is yet another amazing way to spend your time in Greece! The beautiful capital can be reached by climbing 500 steps or taking a mule ride from the port. As you reach the town, you will be mesmerized by Greece’s famous white and blue rooftop homes and sea view!
Strasbourg, France
Found on the border of France and Germany, this beautiful city truly feels and looks like the town from Beauty and the Beast. Walking through La Petite France will instill a romantic atmosphere to any passenger; the flowers hanging by the windows, beautiful canals and its 16th century half-timbered houses truly create an indescribable ambience.
In addition to its beautiful architecture, Strasbourg is also home to the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg. The architectural styles of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame, range from 12th-century Romanesque to 15th-century Late Gothic, allowing individuals to view the changes in style throughout the centuries. Evidently, this city is made for tourists who want to experience history while also having free time to get in touch with the culture!
