Celeb-Inspired Spring Looks
March 2014

The weather is warmer, the skirts are short and spring is in the air. Although fall fashion receives a lot of love, there is something about spring that evokes a sense of freshness. The season allows for a new beginning—new pieces to purchase, new colours to try. Inspiration comes a dime a dozen and definitely doesn’t stop short of our favourite celebrities. We’ve gathered two looks that nail key spring trends right on the head, with a little help from Alexa Chung and Kate Mara.
After countless editorials, Alexa Chung has certified herself as the ‘IT’ girl when it comes to quirky fashion—and this fashion week past was no different. Alexa stunned in leather at the Christopher Kane show. She maintains an effortlessly cool look with a leather mini matched with a Top Shop sweater. The Burberry heart print clutch seals it off.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch House of Cards on Netflix, we advise you to block off the next few days, as you’ll be binge-watching the entire two seasons. Kate Mara stuns both on-screen and off and is quickly rising our must-watch list. Pinks are slowly creeping into stores, indicating a new hit colour for this upcoming season. Kate rocks a bright print Michael Kors dress at the Michael Kors show, no less. Paired with a boxed clutch and nude heels, her look is perfect for a springtime Saturday afternoon.
