House of Vintage
House of Vintage is owned by fashion and vintage expert, Dennis Adamidis, who has been in the field for over twenty years. Whether you’re looking for a vintage designer gown or a pair of vintage specialty denim pants, you’re very likely to find it here. This renowned vintage shop is located in Parkdale at 1239 Queen Street West, and has recently gone international, opening a second shop in London, England. House of Vintage is especially ideal if you’re new to vintage shopping as all of their items are well organized and labeled.
Black Market Vintage
Located at 256 Queen Street West, in the heart of Toronto’s fashion district, Black Market Vintage is unlike any other vintage shop in the city. This shop has a grungier feel to it, and carries a wide assortment of vintage items, such as pants, jackets, purses, shirts, sweaters, all 10$ or less. The shop receives new items frequently, and it really pays off to take the time to look through the numerous racks of clothing on the floor.
Bungalow
Carrying vintage items as well as newer items, home décor and furniture, Bungalow is known as one of the best vintage shop in Kensington Market. If you’re a vintage lover but aren’t very keen on going through endless, overstocked racks of clothing, this bright, spacious and airy shop is right for you. On top of their handpicked vintage items, Bungalow also sells their own unique fashion items that they have remade themselves.
Courage My Love
Having been open since the seventies, Courage My Love has been around longer than most vintage shops in Toronto. Founder Stewart Scriver opened the shop in 1975 in Kensington Market, primarily to sell items that he brought back from his travels around the world. Being by the far the best vintage jewellery shop in Toronto, most people enter this shop looking for exotic jewellery as well as affordable vintage clothing.
I Miss You
Differing from most shops previously mentioned, I Miss You is a much higher end vintage shop. They mostly carry designer clothing and accessories, holding designer labels such as Dior, Yves Saint Lauren and Chanel from the numerous eras. Although the customer service might not be as light and friendly as other vintage clothing shops in the city, there’s no denying the amazing, timeless designer vintage items at I Miss You.
